Eligibility Criteria For Super Visa Sponsorship

Must be a Canadian Citizen
Must be at least 18 years old
Must be able to support the basic needs of spouse or partner and any dependents
Must be able to financially support the spouse/partner for at least three years
Must not have sponsored anyone in the past who has requested financial assistance from the government
Must not be bankrupt, or should not have a criminal record
Must be legally married to a spouse or cohabiting for at least one year to sponsor a common-law partner
Must intend to reside with sponsored spouse/partner in Canada

What Includes The Super Visa Process?

Super Visa holders are not allowed to work in Canada. There is another immigration program that allows parents and grandparents to live permanently, Parent and Grandparent Sponsorship (PGP) Program; however, there are a finite number of visas available through this program, and applications can take a very long time to process.

Direct communication between the applicant and Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) is possible during the application and approval process for the Super Visa.
